Another great BIG Ten matchup with some implications on where certain teams may stand come March as Michigan looks to build their resume and make it into the tournament. Michigan (14-10, 8-6) heads to Kohl Center to take on (15) Wisconsin (20-5, 11-4).

The Wolverines have been very mediocre in the BIG Ten all while the Badgers have been able to find success enough to boost them up in the top 25 with their play especially from star guard Johnny Davis. The tape on Davis shows that he knows how to get to the rim and finish while also being able to light it up from behind the arc. Wisconsin will have to rely largely on him, however, with Michigan's big men Dickinson and Diabate in the paint, he may have trouble finishing around the rim as those two will give him fits and also not allow Davis to get the type of rebounds that he typically gets. Michigan shoots the ball surprisingly well at 47.1% which is good for 38th in the nation compared to Wisconsin's 42.3% ranked 270th in the nation. Like mentioned previously, Johnny Davis plays a huge role in Wisconsin's shooting ability and if he has an off night, then the rest of the team may falter. Michigan also has the slight edge in the rebounding category as they grab 33.6 per game while Wisconsin brings down 32.6. Last game versus Indiana was Wisconsin's spot to bounce back after that disappointing loss to Rutgers, so I expect them here today at home to be a little more relaxed and keep a bit of a slower paced game. Michigan may be riding high off their Iowa win and will look to keep up that momentum as looking for wins at the end of the season is crucial for this team.
Currently the odds sit at Wisconsin -3 (-105) O/U 137.5. As expected with the small line, this should look to be a close game and will come down to the wire. Both teams can knock down free throws relatively well, so we anticipate here this number to be pretty accurate. Look for Michigan to continue to apply pressure and fight their way into the tournament come March.
