Major implications on possible bubble teams as we near the end of the season for for the BIG Ten. Two teams looking to make one final push to increase their chances of making the tournament will square off in Assembly Hall as Maryland (13-14, 5-11) heads to take on Indiana (16-10, 7-9).

Tonight we get a rematch from a game that took place at the end of January where Indiana won 68 - 55 on Maryland's home court. Coming off a big win against Penn State just 3 nights ago, Maryland is looking to continue its momentum and finish the season on a strong note. We get two teams here that love to stray from the 3 point line as much as possible since both shoot relatively low from behind the arc at 32.3% and 33.5% which is not even good for top 200 in the nation for either team. Expect both teams to attack and work inside the paint tonight and for both coaches to be prepared for this as well. Indiana coming off of a disappointing come back loss as the game went into OT against Ohio State may have just killed this team morally and sent them into what may be a downward spiral to end the season. Both teams matchup relatively well and what has really stood out as of late is NBA prospect Trayce Jackson-Davis's inability to take over when the team needs him. Indiana will struggle with depth today as Phinisee looks to remain out of the lineup along with fellow guard Trey Galloway as the team rather get them healthy for the end of the season rather than send them out there not 100%. One major discrepancy that stands out is when it comes to the end of the game, Indiana really struggles at the line as they only convert 68.3% in that category while Maryland can knock down 75.4% in that same area. That will come in play huge towards the end of the game as we expect a slow paced physical game that should remain close the whole game. Indiana has struggled to get their offense going over their last 5 games since that win against the Terrapins as they have lost all 5 games and not been able to produce offensively. After that tough loss to Ohio State and Maryland coming off a nice win against Penn State, I expect Maryland to carry that play over to this game and for Indiana to come out already defeated with not much time left in the season to make a big push for the tournament come March. As long as Fatts Russell continues his dominant play that he has showed over his last 4 games, then this team should be able to remain in the game and possibly win outright as underdogs.
Currently the odds sit at Indiana -6.5 (-110) O/U 135.5. The public is currently all over this Indiana team as they have received 77% of the bets, yet the line has moved a half point from the opener in the opposite direction. It seems some may be expecting a bounce back, but this Indiana team looks done to me so we will be grabbing the points on the other side.
Maryland +6.5 (-110) - 1 unit
